Bappeda-Dinkes Papua Coordinates The Establishment of a Malaria Elimination Center

Quoted from papua.antaranews, The Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) and the Provincial Health Office of Papua province coordinate the establishment of a malaria elimination center. 

John Hutahayan, managing the malaria program of Dinkes Papua in Jayapura on Thursday, said the coordination center will be established in five districts whose malaria is still high.

Until now there are five districts with annual parasite incidence (API) reaching 67 percent, namely Keerom, Jayapura, Timika, Sarmi and Boven Digoel districts. API is the number of malaria sufferers per thousand population.

Establishment of coordination center for malaria prevention as a form of attention from the Government of Papua Province.

"The establishment of coordination center for malaria prevention has been coordinated with the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas)," he said.
