Tourism Potentials in Manokwari Regency

The Manokwari Regency of West
Papua Province has beautiful
natural scenery of mountains and
stunning beaches, therefore local and
foreign tourists greatly visit it.
A number of interesting attractions
that must be visited while on vacation to
Manokwari is;

Underwater Tour of Doreri Bay

There are three beautiful small
islands In Doreri Bay, namely Mansinan
Island, Lemon Island and Raimuti Island.
These islands have unique and beautiful
collection of coral reefs. In these places,
there are also about 20 former World War
II shipwrecks. However, only 6 ships can
be seen clearly, including patrol boats and
cargo ships carrying ammunitions.

Arfak Mountains

The Arfak Mountains is a natural
reserve area that promises cool and
beautiful natural scenery of forests, valleys
and rivers with 320 species of birds, 110
species of mammals and 323 species of

vehicles within one hour from the city of
Manokwari to the south. Along the way to
the dam, the natural beauty of mountains

the dam can go swimming and enjoy its
fresh water.

Maruni Beach

The beach is located about 20 Km
to the south of Manokwari city and can
be visited by using four or two wheeled
vehicles. The beach has black quartz
sand mixed with rock gravel. In addition

visitors can also go swimming, boating or
fishing on this beach.

Amban Beach

The beach is located about 4 Km from
the city of Manokwari and has a stretch of

Lake Anggi

With an area of about 2,000 ha,
the lake has a very fascinating natural
panoramic beauty. This lake is located in
